Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin who was born in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg began her acting career in The Piano. At age 11 years old, she became one of the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for the Best Supporting Actress award for acting as the talkative and inquisitive daughter of Holly Hunter's lead part on the film The Piano. If she answered a casting call, she won the role in the role of Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moves in New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. The actress was just nine years old and did not have any previous experience as an actor. At the age of 17, Paquin moved to America. Paquin played the child's title in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. In addition, she played the lead role in Fly Away Home, a film from the same year. Paquin did a brief appearance in the 1997 TV movie remake of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in the film, she portrayed the Spanish queen in a minor role. She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
