Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek, a Mexican American actor born to Spanish as well as Lebanese parents, is Mexican. The family was a Mexico-based Roman Catholic wealthy family. When she was a kid she felt compelled to become an actress after watching the film "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.' When she attended Mexico City's "Universidad Latinamericana," she felt prepared to enter the field of film. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the Mexican telenovela, 'Teresa.' The film she was in featured her in the movie "Desperado" with Antonio Banderas after arriving in Hollywood. After that, she was cast in 'Fools Rush In" and "Wild West', among other. The actress reprised her character as 'Desperado' in the movie 'Once Once Upon A Time in Mexico' and later started her own production business called "Ventanarosa.' Her debut film was the Mexican 'El Coronel No Tiene Quien Le Escriba. The film later became Mexico's official submission to the Oscars for the 'Best Foreign Film. Her production as executive director of "Ugly Betty" was a different accomplishment. She was nominated for Outstanding Guest actor (Comedy Show) in the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, she has been an endorser for products like 'Revlon' as well as 'Avon and launched her own brand of cosmetics, skincare, and hair care products dubbed "Nuance.'
